Kipling and Lakeshore /Then and Now
Looking north up Kipling from Lakeshore in the fall of 1928. The Hotel to the left was the Altmont Hotel.
2010 and it would appear that part of the building on the right was demolished when Kipling was widened.
The Altmont Hotel in the 1950's. Giant Television!
The Altmont in it's heyday then known as John Sheene's Hotel. Built in 1890 a more complete history can be found at the New Toronto Historical Society.
