I find your blog fascinating. Often times I'll wander through the city wondering what a street might've looked like decades ago. I own a few songbooks published near Yonge/Dundas in the early 1900s. One address is now a Home Sense. The image above with Lary's Drugs actually has two Polish signs -- one that says 'pharmacy' and one that says 'Polish medications'.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words. You've got good eyes to read those signs!Roncesvalles was (and still is to some extant)a Polish neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteI believe that sign is Hilarys drug store which is still around two blocks west at Palmerston.
ReplyDeleteGood eye on that.
