College and Dovercourt/Then and Now

The N/W corner of College and Dovercourt in 1940. The College Theatre was built in 1920 and demolished in 1966. More info can be found here at Silent Toronto.

    When I was a Kid on Saturday mornings I used to go the the Wet End YMCA right across the street and then would catch the Saturday matinee's at the College Theater I think the last movie I saw there was "That darn cat"
