Vintage Tastee Freeze/Dairy Queen Stand

A lonely Tastee Freeze stand on Dufferin (not sure where) and north of Lawrence an old Dairy Queen kiosk in the early 1960's.
An old Dairy Queen in the B/G.
The same location in 2010.

  1. Photo 69 is of the northeast corner of Dufferin St. and Glenbrook Ave. Currently, a one-storey commercial building sits on this site. The building houses a dollar store and a Dairy Queen. The A&P on the right is now a Lady York Foods grocery store. GBC, thanks for spotlighting the Dufferin and Lawrence area, the area in which I spent my formative years. I used to do my own now-and-thens using City of Toronto archive photos and Google Earth. It's nice to see others who share my interest in local history.
