This strip of Queen still had a strong Eastern European presence back then.
I remember that the owner of this used book store (previously located further east on Queen) got onto some trouble for inappropriate behaviour....

There was a Massimo's restaurant in the Epicure space in the '90s - not sure how much it was related to the pizza joint, inasmuch as it was more of a real restaurant. It was my regular night out with a group of friends for the longest time - a bunch of people I was very close to and don't see anymore. It's a fantastic little stand of late Victorian retail storefronts.
ReplyDeleteDid the Epicure re-locate? It must have, as a former girlfriend of mine worked there in the 80's as well as the Rivoli and the Queen Mother.
