Tasty Restaurant on Eastern Ave.

The Tasty Restaurant at Eastern and Booth has been closed for as long as I can remember. But the old sign remains along with some very valuable Coke discs..
These Coke button signs sell for $700-$800 depending on condition.

  1. A fantastic blog! Though do double check some of your posts, as Blogger seems to have a bit of a bug at the moment. A good deal of your postings are lacking one half of the before and after! Keep it up!

  3. Does anyone have any idea when the Tasty Restaurant served its last meal? There are a few of these ghost businesses in the city I can think of; always curious who thinks it worthwhile to keep the signs up and the space occupied.

  4. It was open about 15 years back, and at that point it didnt evrn have set days or hours of operation, i woukd ring the bell and they would coke down and open up. i never ate any meals there, but they sold cigarettes cheaper than most stores, i remember a few friends getting fries snd gravy there, but nothing else that I know of. It was run by an older couple, I think they were Greek ifvi remember correctly, a cat would always be laying around and there was hair all over the place. But they always had cold pop, cigarettes and there was always s few bags of chips for sale, along with a few chocolate bars and different snacks sitting on the counter. I know the wife passed away and the husband lost interest i guess. not sure exactly when it actually closed, but it was roughly about 2003-5 that it closed up for good
