Harbord Street Bridge/Then and Now

Harbord Street Bridge in the 1920's.
Just as the Crawford Street Bridge was buried so was the Harbord Street bridge. Built in 1910 to span Garrison Creek between grace and Montrose. It was left intact and buried in 1930 to facilitate urban development.

All that remains today is the crumbling and defaced balustrade on the north side.

  1. This is so bizare. I drove over this yesterday and it made me think of your piece on the Crawford bridge. I grabbed my map book and thought this must be the same creek and I should email you and ask if you were going to write about this `buried tresure`.
